The mission of Queens College’s Transfer Honors Program (THP) is to assist highly driven and dynamic community college transfer students with attaining their bachelor’s degree within four semesters. THP provides financial, academic, and personal resources to not only help students transition but thrive at our college. The Program offers two levels of funding, half-tuition and full tuition (NY resident tuition rate), provides priority registration for courses, with dedicated advisors to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skillsets that will be essential to their personal, academic, and professional development. Our students receive priority consideration to competitive majors, honors experiences, and on-campus housing. We emphasize community and commitment, so when students become a part of the THP, they become a member of a community of dedicated scholars who value mentorship, serving as peer mentors to assist with transition tips, including but not limited to, on-campus and off-campus resources, offering advice about majors, study techniques, navigating the CUNY database, and helping with the academic research process. These students later become peer mentors themselves, and work with students from our sister program, The Kessler Presidential Scholars.
